Overview

Hindley Nursery & Stoneyard opened in 1994 after its founders grew frustrated with the lack of variety available for their own landscape business, so they built the source themselves. In 2004 the operation expanded to add a two-acre stoneyard, giving the business its dual identity as both a plant destination and a hardscape material supplier.

What makes Hindley Nursery & Stoneyard special?

Few garden centers combine a working greenhouse with a full hardscape yard under one roof. The result is a destination that covers planting and hardscaping in a single trip:

  • Greenhouse-grown hanging baskets and specialty plants: the greenhouse produces extra-large 14" hanging baskets and specialty annuals and tropicals grown on site, rather than sourced from a wholesaler.
  • Stoneyard with notable breadth: 35 varieties of decorative gravel, engineered retaining wall blocks, pavers, flagstone, and large boulders sourced from across the country, plus six bulk mulch and compost options.
  • Nursery stock with rarity: the plant side stocks shrubs, perennials, large-caliber trees, and unique conifers, with a particular emphasis on uncommon varieties.
  • Full-service landscaping: design and installation services are available, extending the business beyond retail into project work.
